I am pleased to announce I have affiliated my practice with Melissa Calwell, CPA, EA (IRS Enrolled Agent) of Wasatch Accounting Solutions! This will allow me to continue to deliver top notch bookkeeping, advisory and CFO services and work in tandem with a colleague that can focus on the tax aspects of your needs. Working in collaboration we can each deliver quality services to help you reach your financial goals.
In today’s world of constantly changing tax regulations and software requirements, I felt associating with the right colleague will help me to continue to produce the quality work and service I have taken pride in delivering for decades. To better service my clients, I elected to affiliate with Melissa and her expertise for providing tax preparation and tax planning services so we can focus on keeping your tax liabilities as low as possible all while operating under the familiar fee structure you and I currently have.
As my practice has grown, so have the multitude and complexity of my clients’ tax and accounting issues. Over the last several months, I have analyzed the firm structure and concluded that the best solution for my clients is to segregate my expertise with professionals whose focus is primarily in certain categories as it becomes increasingly impossible to be the expert in them all.
After interviewing many firms and practitioners, I decided to affiliate with Melissa due to her extensive experience and knowledge in the modern tax laws and technology she has access to. Melissa has over 30 years of hands-on experience working directly with business owners in the private sector, start-ups, non-profit, and through public accounting. She recently served as a Tax Manager for Ernst & Young for 3 years handling the partners’ tax returns across the U.S.! She also worked for Intuit on Turbo Tax early in her career.
My new focus will gradually become almost exclusively Bookkeeping, QuickBooks coaching, and CFO Advisory services while Melissa will handle the tax preparation and tax planning for my clients. We will work closely together and operate under the same fee structure while seamlessly providing expanded tax and accounting services to you.
